Tested with FAWE and FAVS 1.13.2 build 170.
/b overlay is still broken. No observable effect when using brush. Any ideas why? Here is the above bug report repeated when I went through it:

Bug report for FastAsyncWorldEdit 1.13.2

[REQUIRED] FastAsyncWorldEdit Version Number:
FastAsyncWorldEdit-1.13-170 by Empire92

[REQUIRED] Spigot/Paper Version Number:
git-Spigot-1a3504a-84f3da3 (MC: 1.13.2) (Implementing API version 1.13.2-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)

Links to config.yml and config-legacy.yml file:
https://athion.net/ISPaster/paste/view/72d77d5305804809b2652c078af8b3b0

[REQUIRED] Description of the problem:
Most aspects of VS/WorldEdit seem to work great - however I've noticed that the /b over (overlay command) doesn't seem to work. When you right click using either the arrow or gunpowerder, there is no observable effect. Tested dozens of different materials set via the /v command and different brush sizes set via /b command to no effect.

There are no error outputs to the console.

Should I try running a paper-spigot server instead of a pure spigot server?

Plugins being used on the server:

  • EssentialsX
  • FastAsyncWorldEdit
  • FastAsyncVoxelSniper
  • WorldEdit (implemented via FAWE)

How to replicate:

  1. Create a 1.13.2 Vanilla MC server.
  2. Add the FAWE and FAVS plugins along with EssentialsX
  3. Generate a flat world type (not necessarily the problem).
  4. Use Windows Subsystem for Linux in order to start the server and for console output. I'm using the following basic start bash script:
#!/bin/sh

java -Xms3G -Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -jar spigot-1.13.2.jar
  1. Log into the locally hosted server, and get an arrow and gunpowder. Now use the /b over command to set the brush to overlay, then set the material to something like stone using /v 1 and set the size to be larger if you wish using /b [x].
  2. Try and right click using the arrow or gunpowder. These brushes should "paint" the environment, the arrow should paint already existing blocks, while the gunpowder will create new blocks above the ones you right click.
  3. I found that this brush does not work, no effect is observed.

It's interesting to note; this brush works when using a 1.12.2 server with the previous version of FAVS/FAWE. What needs to be updated in order to make this work?

@N0tMyFaultOG @MattBDev @IronApollo @boy0001

Since you guys have previously worked on the specific OverlayBrush.java file, do any of you guys have some potential input for this?
