Frame didn't arrive within 5000 on macOS about librealsense HOT 5 OPEN

Hi @webbershaw If the camera works fine on Windows then there likely is not a problem with the firmware. The firmware is stored inside the camera hardware and not on the computer, so a faulty firmware would impair the camera on Windows too.

How long has it been since you last used RealSense successfully on Mac, please? The RealSense SDK frequently has problems with MacOS Ventura and Sonoma. So if you had not used RealSense since updating to Sonoma, that could explain why the camera worked before (it can be made to work on an M1 Mac with MacOS Monterey) but does not work now on Sonoma.

Thanks! I can hardly recall when i upgraded to Sonoma but i do agree that it might relate to macOS update. Last time I successfully use it was about 4 month ago. 2 month ago it worked with my code only 1 times in about every 10 attempts so i have to run my code over and over again until it work. Today i realized that it completely doesn't work no matter how i tried.

What do you think I shall do

There is not a clear solution for RealSense installation problems with Ventura and Sonoma at present, though a couple of RealSense users have reported that inputting the two commands below worked for them.

brew install libusb
brew install librealsense
