Yeah, I'm on Android 14 (GrapheneOS). Since MD3 is pretty new they are might still do small changes to the color roles in between Android updates. But then I wonder why this wasn't happening before the update. Seems more likely that there were changes made to how Florisboard handles the colors. I played around with the system color because I got curios and if you select one of the two-toned color options you can see a very small difference between the buttons and background. But all single color options have this issue, so you're right. It's two color with the same value. This might have to be addressed over at Florisboard.

Yes, it's quite an unpleasant experience for the eyes.

I'm not certain if the latest Florisboard update included any changes related to Material You dependency. It seems like other Material You Android apps have also seen shifts in their dynamically available color palettes with recent updates.

Hopefully, the latest floristyle update addressed some of the color issues in dark themes. If not, could you consider attaching a few screenshots showcasing the problematic themes?

Thanks for the quick response :) I installed the new version of your theme. Unfortunately the dark and darker variants are all borderless now.

What is your Android version?

I've checked with a few different devices (all Android 13 tho, so not tested on A14), and I couldn't reproduce the issue you're having.
Everything seems fine, except that some color shades for certain elements are still more aggressive then in previous v0.4.0-alpha06 version, but I can't do anything about that at the moment, as it's the color palette that the Material You version used in Florisboard offers.

EDIT for Android 14:

Something strange is happening with the offered color palette in Android 14. It's just like the colors of some dynamic variables (inverseOnSurface, surface, etc.) that Material You offers/enables are not the same as in Android 13.

It seems that keyboards are not borderless, but rather that keys color is identical to the keyboard background in A14, whereas in A13, they are different. I'm not sure what's going on because the same variables are used.

I really don't know what to tell you for now. Perhaps manually selecting a color for the keys that suits you personally 🥲

Hey @M00NJ, it would be great if you could confirm if this issue has been fixed with the latest versions of Florisboard v0.4.0-beta02 and Floristyle v3.0.0 so that this issue can be closed peacefully
