Hey! That's a great idea.
Sadly, we are very limited in the ways we can interact with plex, and an automated redirect when clicking "add to watchlist" is not an option. One could write a browser plugin that is capable of such an automation, but that would mean it will only work when using Plex through a browser and not through the various apps for android/tv/etc.
I'm currently working on a side project (short video on the bottom of the readme), that allows for a deeper integration into plex by mocking a Plex server. This deeper integration does work on all Plex clients, but I have not managed to get plex to directly open the newly downloaded content. You can see this in the video, after I'm clicking "download". The movie is downloaded, but the redirection leads to an error.
I am working on it though, and will probably release this side project soon. Perhaps someone else can use my work and find a solution :)
