How to calculate the backward flow? about optical-flow-filter HOT 2 CLOSED

Hi, I'm glad you find this code useful.

For the backward flow, how many frames t-1, t-2, t-n do you have? Are you planning to run it on a real-time system or in batch (from a video).

If it is from a video, then you can play the video backwards and get the backward flow.

For a real-time system, I don't think this algorithm will work if what you need is to calculate the flow from t to t-1 only. The reason is that you will need to reset the internal filter state with every new frame t, t+1, t+2 and start calculation from scratch. This algorithm will not converge to a sensible solution.

Alternatively, you can run the algorithm forwards (t to t+1, t+1 to t+2, ...) with the code you have and invert the sign of the calculated flow to get t+1 to t, t+2 to t+1.
