Bug when update git.exe to 1.8.3 about bonobo-git-server HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm curious.. why we you containing a copy of git.exe in this project? Wouldn't it be nicer to have the config point to the default installation of MSysGit and then allow the admin user to update MSysGit and have it automatically get used by Bonobo? Of course it's a theoretical point of breaking, but it seems for the most part it's more likely to update Git and not worry about updating Bonobo; Git has been very good with backward compatibility.

And is BonoboGit hence using Git's "smart HTTP" protocol?

I'd like to keep Bonobo Git Server as an out of a box solution, without the need to install any other dependencies (ASP.NET MVC doesn't count).

If you'd like to use a custom location of your msysgit installation you can do it by setting GitPath in your web.config
