Hi Ross, thanks for reaching out to me. Could you please specify the exact steps you take when you get error? I'm trying to reproduce it but I'm not having much luck. I'm running a fully patched 13.10 install of Ubuntu with cmake version 2.8.11.2. Running cmake . && make from the root directory works for me.

This is my build runline:
lubuntu@lubuntu-VirtualBox:~$ git clone https://github.com/jameskbride/cmake-hello-world.git chw2 && \ cd chw2 &&\ cmake . && \ make
Yields:

Hmmm, interesting. You're not doing anything out of the ordinary. I tested the script with the additional line (include_subdirectories(Hello)), and it still compiles just fine. I have added it to the script, but according to everything I've read and how it previously behaving that line shouldn't matter. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about this.

My exact runline works for you?

Yes, but like I said, it was working prior to that as well. I'm still not 100% certain why you were having problems, but I went ahead and added the line as it doesn't break anything. What version of CMake are you using?

cmake 2.8.0. Oh well. Maybe something is wonky on my machine. I wanted
to make sure it worked before I improved this answer on stack overflow to
include your git repository:

Anyways, thanks for your consideration and time.
