I've now added the execution context to the list of contexts available on the injectable IContextProvider interface. It's available in v0.11 that is up on NuGet now and documented here.

How do you currently access the execution context? Do you inject it into your handlers?

Yes, i use injection.
The use case is a repository injection ( ef dbcontext / wrapper around
azure table etc..), in any case you need a sort of connection string which
I store in a appsettings file.
ExecutionContext is handy in this situation as it let me determine the path
to this settings file.

Using this I can use the local settings file on my dev box but when I push to the portal I can pull them from the Function App Settings in the portal, configured through VSTS.
