Look at my thread Timeout error on list-documents. I think what happens is that the device returns an error to the URL request. This error is stored, in this case, in directory_entry, and because of that, directory_entry does not have an entry called entry_id.
If you look in that thread, there is a modification for the function _get_endpoint so that it takes into account the possibility for error codes returned, and prints them. Maybe something like that will work here, to.
BTW: which python did you use? qpython3? Did you manually install packages, or did you use pip?
