that's not much to go on, but I think you mean that pressing F7 toggles record arm for the current track, rather than all selected tracks.
The solution is to change the command bound to F7 to "Track: Toggle record arm for selected tracks"
Should we make this change in the keymap? Feedback already works and the behaviour is exactly the same when only one track is selected. It would also be consistent with mute and solo which work on selected tracks.

Interesting thread. I never realized that mute/unmute and solo/unsolo worked on selected tracks. I always assumed that these worked on the tracks that had focus.
Perhaps one can infer that the mute and solo hotkeys work on selected tracks since their action text is “mute tracks, etc. , but perhaps a more clear action name would be something like “mute selected tracks”, etc. for these actions.
Anyway, just a thought. I just learned yet something else new!

I don't feel strongly about it personally, but one reason for not changing the arm track command is that arming multiple tracks unintentionally is a lot more problematic than muting or soloing tracks unintentionally. Sure, there's the undo command, but that isn't going to work if you save and exit or something like that and only later realise you recorded stuff on multiple tracks when you didn't intend to.
As for the naming of the commands, that's something you'd need to take up with Cockos directly.

Have to agree with James on this one. Whilst I guess it isn’t consistent with Mute and solo, being certain that your arming the track that you have currently highlighted and no other ones feels like a better result to me

I'm going to close this for the reasons provided above. If you do want to quickly arm all selected tracs, you can easily bind this yourself.
