Unless you have already seen, see http://docs.angularjs.org/tutorial/step_05, §A Note on Minification
and perhaps this is not the same problem... :)

you can use the grunt plugin ng-min before minifying to fix this.

We're supposed to use it: https://github.com/jdubois/generator-jhipster/blob/master/app/templates/Gruntfile.js#L318
but honnestly I have no idea what it does :-)

The trick from @yesnault is indeed working!
It's very annoying, as I've got a lot of code to change, and it's quite complex to debug.
I'll finish tomorrow, or later this week, but I have some first controllers working, so it's just a matter of time spent coding...
