Looks like the Future fetchContents() is not working on Android. The below print only shows up when the contents is null,

I/flutter ( 7107): posts.json: Fetching from http://myurl/get_all_posts
I/flutter ( 7107): http://myurl/get_all_posts Using a cached copy if available.

Android and iOS seems to have very different results on this. I'm marking this in the async_resource repo.

I see the problem now. It probably was due to the reason that I was switching between prod and dev data sources.

I solved this by forcing the fetch to ignore cache completely. So in the FutureHandler helper,
future: resources.posts.get(forceReload: true, allowCacheFallback: false),

from async_resource_flutter.
