Github automatically closed the issue - it's fixed now, but I haven´t built a new Chrome extension yet. I'll update the chrome extension soon and close this issue when the fix is live in the Chrome app store.

How can I build the crx from the github repo? I could really use latest
bugfixes right about now.

Or not. The manifest.json under /src/chrome-extension is not valid.

When you go to your Chrome extension overview page, there should be a button "Load unpacked extension" or similar on the top left. When you use that and point it to /dist/chrome-extension, it should load. But I also uploaded the new Chrome extension to the Play Store some minutes ago, it will be available soon.

Edit: Maybe you have to enable Developer Mode in on the Chrome extensions overview to see the button, it's a checkbox on the top right.
