This is a warning from urllib3 which is used by the requests library (which is used by robobrowser).

You found one way to suppress the warnings with logging. If you wanted to use logging and capture warnings without seeing this one you should also be able to filter them:

import warnings
with warnings.catch_warnings():
    warnings.filterwarnings("ignore", message=".*InsecurePlatformWarning.*")

It sounds like this warning is displayed when using a Python version prior to 2.7.9 with only stock SSL libraries. If possible you might be able to upgrade your Python version or install more up to date Python SSL libraries to stop seeing it.

See this requests issue for more info: requests issue #2214

from robobrowser.
