Unfortunately, this project is effectively abandoned.

I think that it is unlikely that I'm going to come back to project this to make the changes required to get it to CPAN quality.

As noted in your readme the other primary XLSX reader on CPAN has some issues especially around large files. I'm not necessarily looking for CPAN release but I am currently working with this as my goto XLSX sheet reader at $work since this seems to be cleaner. Would you be offended if I forked and occasionally pushed updates that I found useful? Our coding styles are somewhat different so I would understand any update rejections.
