I'm cloning this repository in February 2021 with
react-scriptshaving been upgraded to version 4.0.2. When I rannpm install && npm startwithout updatingreact-scripts, meaning I'm using the version from the project'spackage.json, the dev server doesn't run.
Updating react-scripts fixed the issue, but I had to runnpm audit fix --forcewhich npm doesn't recommend.
I think there should be a more painless way to do this...
I should also say, I started the course last year in 2020 and I didn't have any issue with running npm start
from react-projects.
