Sounds like a good feature. I'll add a --provides flag that will let you specify this.

also, not that you should do this, but...
you can set $EDITOR to some crazy script that patches, instead of edits, the specfile.
It's totally not as awesome as proper support, but just throwing it out there in the mean time!
