--subtract option for search about xdotool HOT 2 OPEN

This is adding more logic than necessary to xdotool (i.e. more regex). You can manage something similar by listing the WM_NAMEs and IDs and inverting the selection.

Here's an incomplete example:

for i in $(xdotool search --name ""); do echo "$i $(xprop -id $i WM_NAME)"; done | grep -v "Gnome-Pie"

I'm sure there's a better way to do it, but you'll get more power using tools like grep then you will with integrating this into xdotool.

I don't object to that in principle, but how do you tell xdotool to load that result as its windowstack? xdotool search --any --name?

(also I think you meant $(xdotool search --desktop $(xdotool get_desktop) --name "")
