Hi,
Perhaps I am not completely following the use-case but I would frame it the other way around and look for larger fragments. The database should contain all versions of your audio and then if you have e.g. 30s of unknown audio the correct version should - in theory - be the first match. It matches all shared audio + the audio unique to this version?
Otherwise there are certainly options to go about it and try a few things out e.g. the Olaf python wrapper it should be possible to prototype specific applications like this.
