You know theres a difference between parts you cant really use box frame parts with single frame version

chris334: Thats not true except this part. The other part set that is different is Z axis, and that is correctly updated when you set i_am_box to 0 in configuration.scad. Using box frame parts gets you several advantages, such as possibility to use 9mm wide belts and easy to use tensioners.

Well seems to me then the wiki isnt straight forward but wont really matter to me because im going to go through it all and blog my i3 build so people can refer to that for the single frame build

Hi chris334,

I'm aware that the box_frame parts are, as the name implies, meant for the box builds. But while perusing the scad files I noticed provisions for a possible single plate build and decided to try these parts on a single plate build as an experiment. I did run into a few minor issues and have made a few minor modifications to get everything to fit. Since it was just that, an experiment I would have left this as is, not bothering with opening issues since it probably wasn't meant to be used this way. But when the very same issue propped up in #reprap (using box parts for single plate builds) I mentioned that not everything would fit correctly. At that point AxTheB did mention that the box parts should work on a single plate build too and asked me to open issues for the problems I had run into, clearly labeling them as box/single plate issues. But if opening these issues was the wrong course of action and do not apply, my apologies for doing so. Please consider them non-existent and close the issues as you see fit.

While flattening the base of the holder, I inadvertently also increased the height with several mm. A design mistake of mine what the source of the problem, not the original height of the holder. I've changed the title and description of the issue accordingly.
