Hmm, is this with this version of the build?
pkg> status GDAL_jll
GDAL_jll v3.0.4+3
It could be that you happened to get a later faulty build in the time that it was live: JuliaRegistries/General#23343
In any case in #98 MacOS also gave issues, although a different error. Perhaps the command line tools from the build are just not quite there yet, and it's better to use them from other sources until this is fixed in the build.
the code format markers but doesn't seem to show up quite right
For these multiline code blocks you can use triple backticks, optionally with the opening ones followed by julia
for syntax highlighting. I edited your post to have this.

The first time I tried this, it failed because I had never added GDAL_jll
; I added it but my test code still fails with the same error. I get the same version number as you show.
I installed GDAL view homebrew, and I can do the file conversion from the command line (or could use run
), which is OK for now.

Thanks - I just clicked the code format button in the Write window, as it was first time I've filed an issue (how exciting for me! 😉). I'll try to remember the triple backpacks next time.

I suppose this issue is now resolved with newer builds, as I haven't seen any other issues like this. Please reopen if you still encounter this on the latest release!
