Normally JupyterLab has some logic to update the tab title based on the appName
page config option. It looks like this is not part of JupyterLite because the @jupyterlab/apputils-extension:resolver
plugin is disabled here:

Maybe it would be worth looking into enabling this plugin. Unless this leads to more complex investigations that might be related to #805.
