I have exactly the same issue - this font clips the descenders.

Exactly the same issue goes here, too.

Adjusted line-height trying to resolve the problem: does not work.
Forced setting height of containers of the text: does not work.
Changed font-size to a smaller one: does not work, either!

I just came across this myself. Chrome 9.0.597.94 under Windows XP-SP3. Love
the font, but it's unusable like this.

Confirmed. We thought we had fixed this, but apparently not. We'll try to have
a fix out soon.

Issue on Mac OSX, Chrome 10 and Firefox 4
Descenders are visible on normal text, BUT for a link, on "hover" state, the
descenders are not styled appropriately.
For example, default is white text
Hover turns top part blue (correct) - but descenders only are still white
(incorrect)

the problem seems to be related to the Font-Squirell Fontkit, as i just
resolved the issue by downloading the font from Google Fonts and making my own
conversion to each format necessary (WOFF, EOT, SVG..)

This is still an issue - you can even see it in the Character Set examples on
the official Google Web Font page. I assume that after 2 years there is no fix
for this still?

The issue only seems to manifest if the font TTF is installed on the machine.
When using JUST THE WEBFONT version, the descenders are fine. Seems the TTF
that can be widely downloaded is corrupt.

I'm having this issue on print from illustrator after installing the TTF on my
computer, the descenders on low case are simply cut off.
On web, one of my computers displays the google charcters set well using
Firefox, but another of my computers it displays chopped descenders using
Chrome.
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks

Sorry, Update for whomever this might help: I downloaded the font again from
google and it seems to work on print now, so I imagine that, as someone has
mentioned before the "font squirrel" TTF version is somewhat corrupted. Also
this font won't display well in google chrome when you have the squirrelfont
ttf installed on your computer.
