What fan_speed and pump_speed options have you used?

I think it was me ; )

As the default already is (AFAIK) the silent preset, you probably want to set your own custom curve. Don't forget, the profile you set depends on the temperature of the liquid.

I you want some advice:

  1. Find out the liquid temperature at which you want the fans to ramp up to keep the core cool (e,g, 40°C)

  2. Find out the PWM duty (i.e. percentage) at which the noise from the fans begins to bother you (e.g. 60%)

  3. Separate the profile in two regions: the first, from idle liquid temperature (e.g. 30°C) until the ramp-up temperature; the second, between that and the critical point at which you are no longer comfortable with the temperature of the core (e.g. 45°C)

  4. Set the profile according to these two regions (e.g. "(30,25),(40,60),(45,100)") and test it; adjust as needed

Note: if you have the X62 with stock fans, you might want to end the third region on 95% duty, instead of 100%.

mmmh? I really don't want to get something wrong and kill my cooler
I guess I'll have to install windows and see if that has more control and try to figure it out on linux

thanks

You're welcome.

I'll close this issue, but feel free to ask more questions.
