My name is Karan Shah and I am an aspiring software engineer. I am a first-year student studying Computer Engineering at New York University. I was born in Long Island, New York but my family originates in Ahmedabad, India. My parents have instilled in me to always give back to the community that raised me to become who I am today. I was fortunately given the opportunity to travel with my parents back to their home in India and participate in community-wide clean-ups as well as donate school materials to underprivileged schools.
