I agree, closing it. We might require to have it once we finally migrate to the main kubernetes organization, but I'm not even sure if this is somehow required or better for the community. As of now, better not to have a stale issue.

I would be in for investing some time to get it working, but have zero knowledge of bazel. I probably missed the meeting you're referring to, but I remembers @justinsb mentioning that it usually takes quite some time to get everything set up to have a build environment.
