Case matters, it's "klipper" and probably "plasma-desktop". Both are part of the standard configuration.

You may also need to specify the window class in your conky config (as seen here). The window class is the second value of WM_CLASS in xprop output.

I confirm that setting plasma and plasma-desktop to small case prevents those from being tiled.
Also, I support the addition of klipper to the list of default exceptions.

Seconds ago (by accident) I discovered that "kmix" needs to be in the list as well.

I don't have it in mine and it doesn't tile. Do you mean the kmix menu which opens on one click to the kmix icon in the tray, or the kmix mixer, which opens when you click "Mixer" in the menu?

The former shouldn't tile because it's not a normal window (those are hardcoded to not be tiled) and it doesn't on my system without it being in the list, the latter can be tiled without problems.

Oh, it is my mistake here. I was messing with PulseAudio configuration and kmix lost the sliders, so I clicked the "mixer" without even realising it.
