Unable to connect to Newznab Site due to SSL Error about xdm HOT 5 CLOSED

i can't reproduce the issue ... oznzb works fine for me ...

I added the used Godaddy Cert to the cacerts.txt but that hasn't changed anything tough.

the cert file for the XDM ssl is only used for its own ssl encryption, although a nice idea to also use it for other requests.

it would still be possible to implement "deactivate ssl verification" (as a setting) to the newznab provider
but please check your network settings / proxy.

is this issue resolved with this fix ? if so will add another option to enable / disable SSL verification (you will need to set this after the update) i'll report in here if an upadte is pushed

Hm if you say it works for you, but fails on my Box i need to do a little more research. I give it another shot tomorrow with a completely clean Ubuntu Setup to check it again since it might be rather an OS Issue than a XDM Issue then. But nevertheless people might need the SSL Verification disable Option since some Proxy Setups might also fail on this.

Issue seems to be solved, at least i don't see the Error in the current release but no idea if it's fixed on python side or really was an XDM issue.
