@stormlib "Free to use" is not accepted in many cases, especially for packagers. For a lot of distros, to package stormlib, they would need a valid open source license.
If you want something as close to Public Domain as possible, CC0 is what you're looking for: https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
Otherwise, for a simply permissive license, MIT would be perfect.
