UNKNOWN_ERROR about dishorde HOT 8 CLOSED

Hi. Can you double-check that you've clicked the "Create a bot user" button? Make sure you can see a username and "Token: click to reveal" somewhere under the client ID on the application page.

Thanks a Million that sorted it out. The bot is on my Discord Server but when I run it, it says "Discord client disconnected with reason: Authentication failed. (4004). Attempting to reconnect in 6s...."

No problem!

For the authentication error, make sure you've entered the token correctly in config.json. It shows up when you click the "click to reveal" link that I mentioned before. It should look like a long string of letters and numbers.

Since you're using BlueFang Solutions, you'll probably also need to put your server's external IP address in place of "localhost" in the config file.

I have used my servers IP address, Telnet port and telnet password. I did use the token generated, I even tried generating a new secret token and tried it just incase but no luck.

No worries, setting up bots like this can be confusing.

The code '4004' means that the token entered does not appear to match any existing ones. Does anything else show up aside from the "Authentication failed" error?

Something to try: Make sure you're using the bot user's token and not the "client secret". It's easy to mix the two up.

I got it online, but under the bot on discord its says "Playing No Connection" then after a few seconds it goes offline again.
