Not sure but is there any risk of Google Cloud charging people for the egress fees if this is enabled?

I don't see how it's possible. You need'nt to give Google your credit card to run AIDungeon_2.ipynb
You even can fork it and run your modified version of game on colab in a matter of a few clicks.

Maybe the game should be split into a colab and fully downloaded version. Then the fully downloaded version could have a seeding option but keep that blocked in the colab version.

the script from the PR is not mandatory to be used, in isn't even in notebook
