We actually require Go > 1.4.2 for the PKCS11 module support. Stlil, marking this security critical.

This actually doesn't apply to boulder itself. It does apply to CFSSL, if it uses ECDSA keys for signing. (And as JC notes, CFSSL already requires Go > 1.4.2 for PKCS#11 support) However, boulder currently doesn't sign anything; it just verifies JWS messages from the client.
The one scenario where signing in Boulder might happen is if we do signed AMQP, but even that wouldn't leak externally. Let's keep this around in case that happens.
