Thanks for the report @veloc1ty, but I couldn't reproduce this issue. I just checked out the release 1.13 commit and tested it in Chrome 36 and 38 (Canary).
Could you please check if this might be caused by a Chrome extension? I. e. open TT-RSS with a new Chrome user profile or incognito mode without extensions loaded.
If you have Safari 7, you might also check with it. (older Safari, Firefox and IE won't color the icons)

Hi Levito,
I've tested it in Firefox and Safari - issue not reproducible there.
After remove / reinstall chrome (new profile / no extensions didn't help) it's fine as well.
Apologize for the false alarm and thanks for this great theme.
