I just created a v2.0.1 tag 😸

thanks!

Can't you let the second tag number correspond with the currently supported Symfony version? That is how most Symfony bundles work.
In other words, use the v2.4.x
range for Symfony 2.4.x
and keep the v2.0.x
range for backward compatibility.
By doing that, you can keep supporting older versions of Symfony (since 2.3 is LTS) and keep developing in the new tags.

@rvanlaak this is a bad practice, IMHO.
External bundles should not be tied to closely to Symfony versions. I currently handle bundles with two different versioning numbers (some tied with sf versions and some others not) and I found that it's better be loose.

👍 for @garak , there is no need to couple bundle versioning with Symfony versioning. The same version of the bundle can work perfectly on different versions of the framework.
