I could not reproduce the problem with uPickle:
case class Thing(a: Int, b: String)
write(Thing(1, "gg"))
Could it be the macro expansion that introduces the escaping?
from autowire.
I ran into the same problem. The reason is that autowire's pickle type is instantiated with String
. Instead, you may want to use upickle.Js.Value
:
object AutowireClient extends autowire.Client[upickle.Js.Value, upickle.Reader, upickle.Writer] {
override def doCall(req: Request): Future[upickle.Js.Value] = {
val future = Ajax.post(
url = "/api/" + req.path.mkString("/"),
data = upickle.json.write(upickle.Js.Obj(req.args.toSeq: _*))
)
future.map(x => upickle.json.read(x.responseText))
}
def read[Result: upickle.Reader](p: upickle.Js.Value) = upickle.readJs[Result](p)
def write[Result: upickle.Writer](r: Result) = upickle.writeJs(r)
}
object AutowireServer extends autowire.Server[upickle.Js.Value, upickle.Reader, upickle.Writer] {
def read[Result: upickle.Reader](p: upickle.Js.Value) = upickle.readJs[Result](p)
def write[Result: upickle.Writer](r: Result) = upickle.writeJs(r)
}
object Server {
val router = AutowireServer.route[Protocol](impl)
def dispatch(path: List[String], args: String): Future[String] = {
upickle.json.read(args) match {
case Js.Obj(args @ _*) =>
router(autowire.Core.Request(path, args.toMap))
.map(upickle.json.write)
case _ =>
Future.failed(new Exception("Arguments need to be a valid JSON object"))
}
}
}
