Guest session in MDM about mdm HOT 17 CLOSED

I would also really like to see this implemented, although I disagree about it not being included in the user list, I would like it to be optional, to be included or not at the super-users discretion

I'm honestly surprised that this hasn't received more interest from the devs. I know I'm only one user I don't speak for anyone else but this feature is what is keeping me using lightdm.

Cool, for what its worth I think it would be better if the option to log into a guest session was available from the main login screen. Of course if it were optional from the mdm settings that would be even better. Perhaps two toggle options "Show guest session option in current session menu" and "Show guest session option in login window"

As imarkskinner, I'm very interested in guest session in MDM as it's available in LightDM, enabled by default and the possibility to be disabled with an option in Accounts Manager or editing a file. Is the development of this repo (https://github.com/RavetcoFX/mdm-guest-session) finished or merged in the Cinnamon repo?

Up ! The features (http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_petra_cinnamon_whatsnew.php) explains that a guest session is implemented in cinnamon 2.0, but I can't see this options in Linux Mint 17.

I would also expect guest session very much. Especially for public computers it would be very useful. I noticed at http://segfault.linuxmint.com/2013/10/cinnamon-2-0-released/ that there would be some kind of guest session support but it seems like for LightDM users only. Under "Other improvements" there is written: "Added support for LightDM user-switching and guest user sessions"...

Same here. Have a work laptop that I would like to let my SO use a little now and then for light surfing, without handing over sensitive work credentials
