Mount it to a different config folder to test a fresh spinup, if you are not running an x86 Linux host this container was not designed for you.
Emulated envs in macos or windows will not work. Also this is one of the rare images we have that is not multi arched so x86_64 only.

Also make sure you are pulling docker from their repo and installing docker-ce .

@thelamer thank you for your answer!

I use Ubuntu 18.04 x86_64, i did not change server during the night... ^^ : P

Indeed i see that this image is not multi arched, but no problem, my OS is compatible, more over, it worked yesterday!

Ditto for docker, i did not replace it, i use the same as yesterday...

Try adding in -e INTERFACE=eth0 to your run command

from docker-openvpn-as.

docker.io is not the docker repo package you pulled from Ubuntu repos.

You need to follow the instructions here to install docker :

https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/ubuntu/

from docker-openvpn-as.

mario26 avatar mario26 commented on September 28, 2024

@thelamer i replaced docker.io by docker-ce this, all my containers work with docker-ce too, except yours... : /

$dpkg -l docker-ce
docker-ce 5:18.09.3~3-0~u amd64 Docker: the open-source application container

Will i have made a mistake somewhere?

I also tried with and without privileged: true, it does not work either.

I also tried with another volume in another folder...

I rebooted the server but without result too...

Yesterday i managed to execute it and openVPN worked!

I do not understand what's going on... ^^

Any other suggestion?

What exactly is the issue? Your logs look fine, openvpn-as is started fine.

Did you use https when accessing the gui?

@aptalca, i can not access the webui...

This example will seem clearer to you. :)

It gives us an SSL error but yesterday i was able to add an exception to validate SSL and i was able to connect to openVPN...

Now it does not work anymore...

mario26 avatar mario26 commented on September 28, 2024

I have a friend informs me that he has access to the webui from another Internet conexion by adding an SSL exception.

I rebooted my network, emptied my cache browser but i still have this SSL error that allows me to not add an exception, how can i add a SSL Letsencrypt certificate valide?

I use a Letsencrypt wildcard certificate for the entire server...

If the webgui is up but you're getting an ssl issue, that has to do with your browser or the app.

The cert it uses by default is a self-signed cert, so in chrome, you get a warning page with the message NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID, but if you click on Advanced, you get a link to proceed.

Why don't you tell us what error message you are getting? It's impossible for us to help you if you don't even explain what you're seeing like the specific error message you are getting
