Add optional authentication for http requests about lita HOT 7 CLOSED

Lita 4 (which will be out later this week) allows you to add Rack middleware to the built-in HTTP server. You'll be able to use that to add authentication.

@jimmycuadra just checked out the middleware support in Lita 4. It looks like it only allows the config to specify a middleware class to use--I'm not very familiar with Rack but its built in basic auth middleware appears to require passing in a block to check the credentials as well. Any suggestions?

Good catch! This was an oversight on my part. I will add the ability to specify arguments for middleware.

In your specific case it would look like this:
