query params come from request automatically, you don't need to pass to Pagination manually. You can use url_for to construct the url.

from flask-paginate.

Thanks, @lixxu, If I understood you correctly you mean to say that instead of using{{pagination.links}}
I should create my own custom pagination which should behave like {{ pagination.links }}?.is there a generic way to do that? Or is it possible to modify those links in such a way that I can amend the query params in the link itself?

Also, I tried passing href in the pagination like -
href = '/search?name='+request_name+'&page={0}' and it works the way I wanted but there is an issue with that. Whenever I submit the form with or without parameters the browser URL is not updated for the first page(with or without params). For eg -
http://127.0.0.1:5000/search - url when search without params and the "1" is highlighted as part of pagination. I was expecting it to be http://127.0.0.1:5000/search?page=1.

This is per the doc -
href: Add custom href for links - this supports forms with post method. MUST contain {0} to format page number

from flask-paginate.
