No, the design of php.js was meant to allow each function to be pretty much stand-alone, so no special utilities unless: 1) The utility is already a PHP function, or 2) the php.js functions can check whether the utility function already exists on the php_js global, and if not, add it. The latter may work here.

Hi... I have applied most of your idea to e6dfda4 . However, unlike is_callable(), I decided for now against the "::" option as I think it introduces something too alien to JavaScript. But I did allow the object or method to be specified as strings or object/function. I will close for now, but feel free to add comments, etc.
