I comment instead of editing, since it avoids me rephrasing my whole issue. I managed to open the Appimage version by extracting it and chmoding/chowning the chrome-sandbox file. With this version, PDFs open as usual. So this problem affects only Flathub and Snap versions. Since they are not official, I don’t know if you’ll care (but @p-gentili might).

Hey @pagiraud I've just set up Zotero and tried what you described. I'm not a Zotero expert but I noticed the absolute path wasn't actually correct, not respecting the base path in the settings. With proper configuration I can open those files correctly. If you copy/paste that link in a browser, does it work?

Logseq snap and Zotero. I suppose you have the same configuration for Logseq AppImage and Snap.

Indeed, they use the same graph / directory.

Here you go. Both Logseq (Settings > Features > Zotero > Zotero Data Directory) and Zotero (Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Files and Folders > Data Directory Location > Custom) are set to /home/myusername/.zotero/zoteroData/.
I don’t know if it’s of any importance but the .zotero directory is actually a symlink to the "real" directory, which is on a secondary HDD.
