MYSQL POINT datatype is not recognized as a GeoPoint when detecting LDL about loopback-connector-mysql HOT 3 CLOSED

We map LoopBack GeoPoint/Point to MySQL POINT type so that the property can be stored in MySQL as POINT. There is some code to handle the conversion:

Can you elaborate what issue you ran into? It would be really helpful to have a test case or more information on how to reproduce it.

Hi Ray,
thank you for your response. The issue is with the Discovery of Models. MYSQL Fields of Type 'POINT' are being discovered but loopback LDL model field provided by discovery functions is being of type 'String'.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. My Guess the Problem is in the following code:
