Yes, it's compatible. But there's (currently) no worktop/fastly module which would carry Fastly-specific utilities and TypeScript definitions, so you'd have to add them manually for now or make do without them for the time being.

By the looks of it, you should be fine using the worktop/sw module to initialize an application. But re: types, I don't have anything that would provide the fetch() options, as shown in the documentation you linked:
