These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.

Prerequisites

What things you need to install the software and how to install them

Give examples

Installing

A step by step series of examples that tell you have to get a development env running

Say what the step will be

Give the example

And repeat

until finished

End with an example of getting some data out of the system or using it for a little demo

Running the tests

Explain how to run the automated tests for this system

Break down into end to end tests

Explain what these tests test and why

Give an example

And coding style tests

Explain what these tests test and why

Randall Lunetto's Projects

crypto-tracker icon crypto-tracker

Crypto Tracker is a web based application that currently tracks the price of Bitcoin in real time by storing the price of BTC into a database along with a timestamp. The data is then rendered into a graph that updates in real time. The original conception was meant to be a sort of trading hub or social media application where friends could watch each other's favorite stocks and leave comments or suggestions about what stock indices to trade and why.

hive-on-yelp icon hive-on-yelp

We utilized Hadoop Cluster via Oracle Big Data Cloud Service - Compute Edition with Hive Query Language to perform geo-spacial and geo-temporal analyses on ~10GB dataset from Yelp.com. We analyzed Yelp features' performance over time, consumers written review sentiment, and consumer rating patterns in different regions.

pig-etl-processing icon pig-etl-processing

Work based on Cloudera CAP Lab 9 on Oracle Cloud Big Data. Use Pig to explore, correct, and reorder data in files from two different ad networks. Small samples of this data using Pig in local mode then use ETL scripts to process the complete data sets in HDFS by using Pig in MapReduce mode.

pos-system icon pos-system

Term Project for Systems Analysis and Design (CIS 3060). We showcased the SDLC life cycle in developing a Point of Sale (POS) System application for restaurants. Our application prototype is written in Java and features a working log-in screen and graphical user interface to add menu items to a ticket, calculate the total, and print a receipt.

twitter-data-go-sentiment_analysis icon twitter-data-go-sentiment_analysis

Performed sentiment analysis on Twitter data of 'Go' game - Google’s Alphago vs Se-Dol Lee. Utilized Hadoop HDFS via Oracle Cloud, HiveQL and Tableau.
