Since we've ripped out kibana, I'm going to close this one.

as a side note, I'm really sorry that it was broken the way it was. Totally unacceptable. I'm going to be spending some time getting a solid test suite up and going for this guy.

It looks like kibana-ruby was the only thing needing apache2. If that's correct, can the metadata dependency for apache2 be removed? It breaks installation if you have something else already bound to port 80.
