@Maks3w I don't think I have rights to push new releases. @lusis has been pretty busy, and I want him to look things over before a release is made.
We will try to get one out the door soon. For the moment we have tags here as you pointed out.

I was originally maintaining a logstash cookbook on the community site, and when I made @lusis maintainer, I stayed collaborator. As such, I've uploaded 0.5.1, though I had forgotten to commit my changes to metadata.rb and README.md to a branch first :(.
Pull request #49 has the changes to the metadata.rb.
Pull request #50 has the changes to the README.md.
