README.md says to 'setFilter() to 1024' which produces an error as the max is actually 1023 about esp32encoder HOT 1 CLOSED

One cap goes from A to gnd. Another cap needs to go from B to ground. the one on the switch is not needed. If it is still behaving badly, increase the cap value. You might want to get a variety pack to try different values. No more than say 2uf max.

The interrupt encoder might work better for you, but its new and experimental. I want to be able to have the encoder object switch modes to interrupt driven. Its better for noisy but slow signals like this. The pcnt module is for very high speed optical encoders.
