Hey @maderlock!
I agree that sourcemaps support would be nice to have and they are on my todo list for the future. The problem is not minification but other transforms that I'm doing with the files so they can be merged properly and the merging itself which makes it more difficult to implement.
That said, I think we could start with generating sourcemaps when minification is enabled so at least unminified code can be inspected.

Oh and to your first point - Magepack is using terser for minification of the bundles, so it should be quite straightforward to add.

Only now found this issue discussion. I've done a PR #132 to enable source maps for both minified and non-minified files.
