  • šŸ‘‹ Hi, Iā€™m Md Mahir Asef Kabir (@mahirkabir) [Google Scholar]
  • šŸ‘€ Iā€™m looking for Summer Internship positions in the area of Software Engineering/Software Engineering Research
  • šŸŒ± Iā€™m currently working on research works related to Software Engineer, Software Security, Static Analysis, and Domain Specific Languages
  • šŸ’žļø Iā€™m looking to collaborate on research projects related to Domain Specific Languages, Static Analysis, or Cryptographic Vulnerability Detection
  • šŸ“« I can be reached via my LinkedIn profile

I am a 5th Year Ph.D. candidate from the CS department of Virginia Tech, USA. My research topic is about helping software developers in maintaining project config files to reduce vulnerablities, and run-time bugs in NodeJS, and Spring projects.

I am passionate about solving algorithmic problems using optimized code with better run-time & memory complexity, and writing easy-to-maintain, clean code by following proper design practices.

My newest passion is creating easy-to-understand & optimized Domain Specific Languages for solving different domain specific problems. My current expertise related to DSLs involves creating External DSLs by writing syntax rules, generating parsers, and developing durable engines that contains techniques such as caching and static analysis.

package-json-analyzer icon package-json-analyzer

A python tool for analyzing package.json file of NodeJS applications. NodeJS applications use package.json file's dependencies section to specify semantic versioning of libraries. Using semantic versioning, it's possible to set a range of versions for a library. But it's also possible for one version in that range to cause problem with versions of other libraries. Purpose of this tool is to find such faulty combinations of libraries to prove that this is a real problem.
