There's a tutorial here: http://sealedabstract.com/code/nsa-proof-your-e-mail-in-2-hours/

Do you think you are able to integrate it into mailinabox? :)

Probably not any time soon, since most users could just use IMAP instead, right?

Then again, IMAP only does IMAP IDLE, but push would be faster and on mobile devices more energy efficient.

You are probably right, "only" the iOS users (like me) would need *-push, since iOS does not support IMAP IDLE...

I'd really like to see this integrated with the default install aswell, adding z-push after an install is easy but better would be to have it added by default ;)

Quick guide for an older Z-push+nginx, should work with newer verisions aswell; http://frontender.ch/publikationen/push-mail-server-using-nginx-and-z-push.html

Please consider submitting a pull request. Most of that tutorial is already a part of Mail-in-a-Box for other reasons (nginx and php w/ fastcgi), so adding Z-Push should not be very hard.

Are there any Android apps that I can test with? I don't have any iOS devices, and without a device I can test with I can't implement this myself.

@JoshData yeah, many applications you can choose from but the easiest one would be the standard Android e-mail client, choose exchange when it asks for account type

Okay I've added z-push support in 2a7669a. Hopefully you all can test it out and let me know if I did it right!

I'll have a go once my dedibox is delivered (but from what I can tell by your commits it should be all good)

Well it seems to be working. Would still appreciate confirmation from others. But I'll close the issue.
